Venus - Ongoing
In 2026, Prune Nourry’s first public commission, Les Vénus dionysiennes, will be inaugurated at Saint-Denis Pleyel station, in collaboration with architect Kengo Kuma, as part of the Grand Paris Express. Designed as a vertical museum and installed in the atrium on either side of the escalators, this ensemble of 108 unique sculptures, each 1.7 meters tall, evokes the earliest representations of women from the Paleolithic period: the Gravettian Venus figures (Willendorf, Grimaldi, Lespugue, etc.).
These figures are based on eight unique models with diverse morphologies, each sculpted and covered with a “skin” composed of 14 clays and pigments, embodying the female body in all its variety of shapes and colors.
